Tectona grandis L.f is a member of the labiatae family which one of the most interesting as a herbal medicine. It is commonly used in folk medicine for treatment of various diseases including antipyretic. Thus, the aim of this research was to evaluate antioxidant activities anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities of wood extracts. ABTS and DPPH scavenging assays measured the antioxidant activities. Anti-inflammatory activities were evaluated by measuring the inhibition of nitric oxide (NO) production in LPS-activated RAW 264.7 macrophages using the Griess assay and the ELISA measurement of proinflammatory cytokines, tumor nerosis fator N- and intereuin -6). Their cytotoxic activities against macrophages were determined by the MTT assay. Also, antimicrobial activity was tested against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) ATCC 20651, Streptococcus pyogenes ATCC 19615, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 9097, Candida albicans ATCC 90028 by disc diffusion, measure the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC).
